Not only was she the officiant of choice for Well Travelled Bride founder Kelsey Genna and her husband David, she also came highly recommended by many of the trustworthy vendors that we worked with while in Ravello. We cannot stress highly enough the importance of a celebrant that you know you can trust when planning a wedding in a country that isn’t your own. He or she will guide you through the legalities of your country or province of choice, provide language translation for you when needed, and make sure that all your questions are answered and your love is celebrated on your big day.

Giovanna was born in Amalfi and has lived on the coast all her life, but speaks fluent English & French and has worked as a wedding coordinator/translator and celebrant for almost twenty years. She stumbled into her profession when asked to assist a local wedding planner in finalising the details of a big wedding celebration, and eventually became well regarded as the go-to person for seeking legal marriage direction in the Amalfi region by well-seasoned wedding professionals and locals alike. We immediately fell in love with the warmth and passion with which she goes about her duties. She never uses a pre-written script, but always formulates her ceremonies to custom-suit the unique aspects of each of her couples. Many have even kept in touch with Giovanna over the years, sending her photographs of their growing families and even inviting her to be the godmother at the christening of one of her couple’s sons! It is this familial warmth and genuinity that drew us to Giovanna, and it is that same exuberance for celebrating love that makes us highly recommend her to other Amalfi brides!
